wolf lake pup patrol
Help us protect fish and wildlife at Wolf Lake!
Wolf Lake loves dogs, and we love allowing dogs to be walked on our trails.
What we don’t love is unleashed dogs and dog waste ☹️
Why do dogs need to be leashed?
Even the most well-behaved dogs can be disruptive to plants, wildlife and other trail users.
It’s the safest things for dogs. Wild areas present a variety of potential hazards for our furry friends. From skunks to snakes to the threat of tick-borne diseases and poison ivy, keeping your dog on a leash is what is best for them.
It’s the law. Dogs are required to be leashed in public areas.
Why clean up your dog’s waste?
Dog waste is not fertilizer. It takes years for it to break down and can cause algae growth, which is dangerous for our fish and other wildlife
Dog waste contains toxins that are harmful to our fish.
Dog waste is gross to step in ☹️
Please clean up after your dog.
We have provided pet waste bags at each trailhead and trash receptacles on the trails for your convenience.
Please do not leave filled pet waste bags on the sides of the trail, in the woods or anywhere else except in a trash receptacle.
